Penn State Transportation Services updated parking measures and travel restrictions ahead of Saturday’s return game against Illinois.
Football parking lots will open at 7 a.m. this week for valid permit holders, according to a statement.
East, HUB, Eisenhower, West and Nittany parking lots will also offer paid on-campus parking on match day through Penn State Transportation Services, the statement said.
All bridges except Eisenhower, which is cash only, can be paid for by credit card.
The East, HUB, Nittany and West Bridges will open for overnight visitor parking starting Thursday evening, the statement said.
Eisenhower Deck will open at 5 p.m. Friday and is payable through the ParkMobile app, according to the release.
Overnight parking will follow standard rates of $ 1 per hour with a maximum daily charge of $ 12 which will be in effect for 24 hours for Thursday arrivals and 12 hours for Friday arrivals.
After that window, rates of $ 50 for Thursday arrivals and $ 45 for Friday arrival events will apply to all vehicles, according to the release.
All suburban parking lots, including orange lots L, A, A OPP, B, H, O and half of U, as well as silver lots G and L, as well as Porter South and yellow lots L, H and M will close at midnight Friday. , according to the press release.
Parking permits for faculty and staff will be honored for all faculty and staff lots west of Bigler Road, and student permits will also be honored for all student lots west of Bigler Road, according to the press release.
Increased fines for parking infractions will be enforced throughout the weekend, and vehicles that are not parked face-to-face and without their license plate visible, as well as vehicles that are parked outside of parking space limits. designated and not reserved will be fined.
Park Avenue, Porter Road and other roads near Beaver Stadium will become one-way and will be subject to special traffic restrictions starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, the statement said.
Rideau Road will be closed all day between Bigler Road and Porter Road, the statement said.
CATA’s Blue Loop, Red Loop and Red Link bus lines will operate during normal match day hours, with slight changes to their routes and stops due to road closures, the statement said.
The CATA Downtown Football course was closed earlier this semester and will not take place on game day.
